Jenks 7 – Broken Arrow 6
After a couple of tough losses in the prior week, Jenks baseball started off the week on a winning note, defeating the Broken
Arrow Tigers 7 to 6 at Hinch Field. Logan Taylor, Jr. righthander picked up the victory to remain undefeated on the season.
Ben Moore, Jr. lefthander relieved Taylor in the 5th inning and completed the victory, striking out seven Broken Arrow
batters. Broken Arrow had lost only three games on the season prior to the game.
The Trojans capitalized on four hits (two by Graham McIntyre and one each from Kyle Kirkpatrick and Garrett Hope) to
produce runs for the Trojans. Solid defense throughout the game by the Trojans contributed in a large way to produce the
victory.
Jenks 11 – Bishop Kelley 1
Jenks continued its winning ways with a solid victory over Bishop Kelley at Hinch Field. A very good pitching performance by
Sr. righthander Ian Morris, along with solid defense and timely hitting, produced the Trojan’s 2nd consecutive victory. Morris
pitched a complete game. The Trojans did a good job of hitting during the game, with Logan Taylor picking up three hits,
including two doubles.
Jenks 15 – Hilldale 7
Jenks picked up its 3rd consecutive victory in as many days, defeating Hilldale in a road game. In one of the more
entertaining games of the year, Jenks came back from an early 4 - 0 deficits to pick up another solid win. Sr. righthander
Curtis Craig pitched a complete game for the victory, with a solid pitching performance. To overcome the early deficit, Jenks
used a home run to left field from Kyle Kirkpatrick (one of Kyle’s three hits), a bases loaded triple off the centerfield wall from
Dylan Armstrong (driving in three runs) , a two-run double by Graham McIntyre and to top it off, a grand-slam home-run from
Freshman Garrett Hope.
Jenks 4 – Ft. Smith Southside 3
In a tight road game in Ft. Smith Arkansas, after falling behind 3 – 0 in the early innings, Jenks continued its winning ways.
Jr. righthander Brad Fisher picked up the victory for the Trojans, pitching five solid innings. Jenks had solid defense and two
scoreless innings of relief pitching by Ben Moore, who picked up his 2nd save of the week, also contributed to the victory.
A double by Logan Taylor, followed by rbi singles by Brad Fisher and Zach Etier and a rbi by Daniel Parham, tied the game at
3 – 3, which remained the score until the 6th inning, when the Trojans plated a run on a sacrifice fly by McIntyre.
A key defensive play in the bottom of the 6th inning helped secure the victory. With runners on 1st and 3rd base with one
out, catcher David Menger threw out a Southside runner attempting to steal 2nd. The following batter flew out, leaving the
Trojans with their lead. The victory closed out the most successful week in the Trojan season, with 4 wins against no losses.
Jenks 3 – Owasso 4
A tough night for the Trojan hitters resulted in a hard fought loss for the home team at Hinch Field. Logan Taylor pitched very
well for Jenks, giving up only 4 hits while striking out 11 Ram batters. Jenks managed only one hit, from Ryan Justus, in the
bottom of the 6th inning off of Owasso’s Bargas. Bargas gave up a number of base on balls including all 4 of Zach Etier’s
plate appearances, while Jenks stranded a number of runners.

March 24, Jenks JV vs Memorial - Doubleheader
Game 1: Jenks 15-2 Sean Patton recorded the complete game victory with 7 strikeouts. The Trojans had 13 hits.
Game 2: Jenks 14-3 Win over Memorial in 3 innings of play. Pitching for Jenks were Hayden Ehrlich and Cameron Bertelli
averaging a strike out per inning.
Best of the West Tournament – Phoenix, AZ
Game #1 Pinnacle vs. Jenks - Jenks Loses 1-5
Pinnacle is a team known for their power hitters. Their statistics showed that they had hit 24 home runs in 8 games. Ben
Harms pitched 6 innings giving up 6 hits with only 1 home run, 2 walks, and 3 strike outs.
The Pinnacle pitcher pitched 7 innings with 14 strike outs, 1 walk, 1 hit by pitch, and 2 hits.
Jenks’ Ryan Stephens was able to score on Daniel Parham’s delayed steel after a wild pitch creating a pickle that allowed
Ryan to steel home with a very close play at the plate, where Ryan was scored.
The offensive players of the game were David Menger 1 for 3 and Logan Taylor 1 for 3.
Game #2 South Mountain vs. Jenks - Jenks Wins 18 – 2
Daniel Flood was the starting pitcher for Jenks, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits and 1 walk after 3 innings pitched. Ryan Justus
came in as the relief pitcher in the 4th; striking out 3 of the 6 batters faced and giving up no hits and no runs.
The offensive players of the game were, Timmy Elias 2 for 2 with 1 being a home run, Garrett Hope 2 for 3 with 1 being a
home run, Zach Etier 1 for 1, Ben Harms 1 for 1, Logan Taylor 2 for 3, Daniel Parham 2 for 4, David Menger 2 for 4, Ryan
Justus 1 for 3, and Graham McIntyre was on base 3 out of 4 at bats with 2 steels.
Game #3 Deer Valley vs. Jenks - Jenks Loses 5 – 7
Ian Morris started on the mound for Jenks. Ian pitched 5 innings giving up 3 runs on 9 hits and had 2 walks. The score after 5
innings was Jenks 5, Deer Valley 3. Deer Valley came back in the 6th with a 2 run homerun that tied the game. Then, in the
7th Deer Valley scored two more runs. Jenks could not score, so the final score was Deer Valley 7 - Jenks 5.
The offensive players of the game were, Daniel Parham 3 for 4, Dylan Armstrong 1 for 2, Zach Etier 1 for 2, and Graham
McIntyre 1 for 3.
Game #4 Ironwood vs. Jenks - Jenks Wins 10 – 0
Logan Taylor pitched another shut out! At the end of the game, Logan had pitched all 5 innings giving up no runs on 4 hits, 4
strike-outs, and 1 walk.
The offensive players of the game were, Zach Etier 2 for 2, Daniel Parham 2 for 3, Logan Taylor 2 for 4, Graham McIntyre 1
for 2, Garrett Hope 1 for 2, Ryan Justus was on base 3 out of 3 plate appearances.
Game #5 Casa Grande vs. Jenks - Jenks Ties 9 – 9
Jenks was ahead at the end of the 1st inning 1 to 0. Then, in the top of the 3rd Casa Grande scored 6 runs on 6 hits, but
Jenks came back scoring 5 runs on 6 hits tying the game 6 to 6. In the top of the 6th Casa Grande scored 2 runs on 2 hits,
and again Jenks came back with 3 runs on 3 hits. In the top of the 7th Casa Grande scored 1 run on 3 hits and Jenks left two
on base not being able to score. The game ended in a tie Jenks 9 - Casa Grande 9.
The offensive players of the game were Timmy Elias 1 home run for 1, Garrett Hope 2 for 3, Daniel Parham 2 for 4, Dylan
Armstrong 2 for 4, Graham McIntyre 2 for 4, David Menger 1 for 2.
Jenks losses to Union - March 10, 2009- Jenks 8 - Union 13
Ian Morris took the mound to start the game for Jenks. Ian only gave up 1 unearned run for the first three innings. After
the 3rd inning the score was Union 1 Jenks 0. Then Jenks came out hitting in the top of the fourth with 8 hits and three walks
giving Jenks 7 runs. Both David Menger and Zach Etier had two hits in this same inning. In the bottom
of the 4th Union started their retaliation and Jenks pitching struggled allowing 10 runs with 4 coming off a grand slam hit off
the 1st relief pitcher. Ben Harms came in as the 2nd relief pitcher to finish out the inning not allowing any more runs this
inning. Jenks started off in the top of the 5th with 3 back to back hits, but could only get 1 across home plate. Then in the
bottom of the 6th Union scored two more runs to bring the score as Union 13 Jenks 8. Jenks had the bases loaded in the top
of the 7th , but could not score.

Durant Festival - March 6, 2009 - Edmond Santa Fe
Trojans lost 10-4 The game was tied at the end of 4 innings played 2 to 2, but the bats of Edmond Santa Fe started
connecting and pulled away. Jenks did not give up and was able to score 2 more in the 5th.
Durant Festival - March 7, 2009 - Durant
Trojans won 7-3 The game was tied at the end of the first inning 1 to 1. Jenks started pulling away in the 3rd scoring 4 runs
and 2 more in the 4th. Durant tried a come back in the 5th, but was only able to score 2 more runs. Durant Daily News
Durant Festival - March 7, /2009 - Edmond Deer Creek
Trojans Lost 8-3 Jenks was ahead after 2 innings played 1 to 0. but then Deer creek scored 3 in the 3rd and 3 more in the
5th. Jenks tried to come back in the 6th scoring two more runs, but was answered back by Deer Creek scoring 2 of their own.
Durant Festival
The leading bats for the 3 game weekend where Logan Taylor 3 for 7, David Menger 2 for 5, Ryan Justus 3 for 9, and
Graham McIntyre 3 for 11.
